Our Center is designed around the Planetree model of care. In a healing environment inspired by nature and created for comfort, the Center fulfills your physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Elements of the Planetree model include

Architecture & Interior Design

Soothing colors, open spaces, comfortable furniture, and natural light to create a uniquely warm and welcoming space for both interaction and reflection. A healing garden with a waterfall helps patients connect with the recuperative powers of nature.

Nutrition

Because good nutrition is vital to healing, the Center offers counseling and education for all patients and their families. An onsite café provides a variety of healthy foods.

Education

A resource center provides a place to evaluate your care and treatment options. Information is understandable and accessible, so you can make informed choices and participate actively in your care.

Spiritual Support

With its graceful spire and skylight, our chapel provides an ideal setting for quiet meditation and prayer. We encourage its use among all patients, and make chaplains available to attend to the spiritual needs of patients and families.

Integrative Therapies

Therapeutic touch, soft touch, Reiki, and therapy dog visitation are just a few of the supplemental therapies offered to all patients to help soothe and promote healing. More extensive therapies, such as therapeutic massage and acupuncture, are also available in the adjoining Hewitt Pavilion through the Integrative Medicine Center.
